This was the first exhibition held by cultureclub.
With the cooperation of “Suigenkyo,” which covers the production process of traditional crafts in various regions of Japan and communicates the charm of tradition and culture to the world, we explored a new approach with traditional craftspeople.
For this exhibition, we interviewed traditional craftspeople who work with ikkan-bari, lacquer, and bamboo, and asked them about their knowledge and skills, and presented them with the concept of "A little more like in your daily life. The works were created based on the concept of “adding a bit of ‘like’ to everyday life,” with the aim of bringing these traditional crafts back to the center of daily life and culture.

cultureclubとしてはじめて行った展示。
日本各地の伝統工芸の制作過程を取材し、その伝統と文化の魅力を海外に向けて発信する『水玄京』さんの協力を得て、伝統工芸師の方々と共に新たなアプローチを探った。
今回の展示はでは一閑張、漆、竹を扱う伝統工芸師の知識と技術をヒアリングし、「毎日のlifeに少しのlikeを。」というコンセプトのもと、これらの伝統工芸が再び生活と文化の中心に彩りを与える存在になることを目指し、作品を制作した。
